As anyone who likes to drink knows, in recent years, malt beer produced in Moscow, Russia's capital, has become increasingly popular among Russia's Eastern neighbours, which has even become one of Moscow's most popular exports to China. According to Russian media reports, shipments increased by nearly 93% last year.
In 2018, the most popular product exported by Moscow's food industry to China was 10 liters or less of malt beer, totaling $14.6 million, an increase of 92.9% (nearly 93%) over 2017, according to a report quoted by the Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy by the Russian Tass News Agency (TASS) on Friday (February 22).
