The kiwi-berry industry alliance has officially entered negotiations with the Dehezi (Beijing) Artificial Environment Technology Co Ltd., one of China's leading companies in the field of fresh produce technology, on March 5th, 2019. The two parties reached a decision to cooperate and take the next important step in the development of the kiwi-berry industry together.
Dehezi is a high-tech company with a current focus on close cooperation with Wageningen University (ranked second in the world in agricultural science, and first in environmental science, with a specialization in research and development of agricultural science and technology) as well as the Dutch company Van Amerongen (VA).
The main focus is on technology that can help solve problems in the Chinese fruit industry, such as short storage periods, inefficiency in keeping fruit fresh, inefficiency in temperature and humidity control, as well as control over standardization, and ultimately inefficiency in the storage of all agricultural products. There is too much waste in various stages of the supply chain and the cost price is too high. These are the problems that need to be solved.
