Vietnam's Ministry of Industry and Trade has just issued a circular on the principle of tariff quota allocation for imports of salt and poultry eggs in 2019. The effective date of the notification is from 17 April to 31 December 2019.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said that import tariff quotas for salt and poultry eggs were implemented in accordance with Ministry of Industry and Trade Circular No. 12/2018/TT-BCT.

Accordingly, this year's import volume of eggs and duck eggs is 66,2172, and salt import volume is 110,000 tons. Egg import tariff quotas are allocated to importers with business registration certificates. Salt import tariff quotas are allocated to traders who directly use salt as raw materials for chemical and pharmaceutical products.

The allocation time of salt import tariff quotas is implemented in accordance with the recommendations made by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development so as to avoid affecting the production and sale of salt and meet the needs of other economic industries.
