Murcia is the leading exporter of table grapes in Spain, with 116,153 tons in 2018. This was 70% of the national total, which amounted to 170,656 tons. The value of Murcia's table grape exports in 2018 amounted to 236 million Euro. This was 70% of the national total, which stood at 337 million Euro. Much of this growth is due to the positive development of seedless table grapes. Murcian table grape exports in 2018 grew by 24% in terms of volume compared to 2017 and by 25% in terms of value, according to data from the Department of Customs and Special Taxes, processed by Fepex.
For Joaquín Gómez, director of Apoexpa, this mission is a good opportunity to promote our productions in Asian countries and will contribute decisively to the opening of these new markets.
