Orange prices remain stable in Spain, while mandarins become cheaper

According to the Lonja de Valencia, despite the fact that the citrus supply continues to increase, purchases at origin have remained at a good level, so orange prices have not changed. This week, the first Salustiana oranges have been sold for 0.21 Euro per kilo, which is more than in the same week last year, when the price stood between 0.18 and 0.21 Euro per kilo.

The other orange varieties are recording the same price levels. The Navelina ranges between 0.17 and 0.25 Euro per kilo, and the Navel oscillates between 0.23 and 0.25 Euro per kilo.

Meanwhile, mandarins have been mostly affected by declines. When it comes to the Satsuma, the varieties Iwasaki and Okitsu have seen their prices drop to between 0.18 and 0.25 Euro per kilo. In the case of the Clementines, the most significant drops have been recorded by the Clemenrubí, although the prices of the Oronules, Arrufatina and Clemenules are also down. The prices of these varieties have ranged between the 0.21 and the 0.61 Euro per kilo.

Lastly, in the hybrids subgroup, the Clemenvilla mandarin has been the only one achieving a price increase, oscillating between 0.23 and 0.28 Euro per kilo.
