Thailand (population of 69.6 million) is the third largest economy in Southwest Asia and a major exporter of pineapple and cassava, among other things. The economy is expected to grow further by 3.7% in 2020. Trade agreements with the European Union facilitate exports to Thailand.
There are 38 million people with a good income and a growing young generation who are open to other, more healthy eating habits. They are looking for new western horticultural products.
