Core Tip: Wisconsin-based ingredients company Denali Ingredients has introduced a new line of Greek frozen yogurt concepts.

The Denali Ingredients Greek Frozen Yogurt program offers dairy manufacturers with formulas, stabilizers and flavor ingredients essential to manufacture Greek frozen yogurts.

Denali Ingredients said that the prototype samples are available to ice cream manufacturers in evaluating the new scheme.

Initially, the company offers flavor concepts including Vanilla Honey Cinnamon Swirl, Blueberry Cheesecake and Raspberry Chocolate Chunk; and stabilizer system named Ideal #680,which is formulated to work particularly with Greek Frozen Yogurt products.

Denali Ingredients director of business development-stabilizer systems Doug Allen said that the company offers a single-source solution that enables the dairy manufacturers to develop Greek Frozen Yogurts that meet consumer needs.

"Our Frozen Greek Yogurts deliver six to seven grams of protein, which is more than double that of a typical frozen yogurt. They also provide excellent freezing performance and superior heat shock protection, so they are easy to implement at the manufacturing level," Allen said.

Denali Ingredients is a supplier of chocolate coatings, fudge sauces, powders, fruit variegates, stabilizers, extruded products, flakes and other ingredients for the dairy, snack, bakery, confectionery, food service, and frozen dessert industries.
