AMIF invites pre-proposals on applied and fundamental research that will improve the control of microbial pathogens in meat and poultry products.
AMIF is soliciting pre-proposals on controlling Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli in fresh beef products,Listeria monocytogenes on ready-to-eat (RTE) meat and poultry products, and Salmonella in meat and poultry products. The priorities are listed by pathogen and are further categorized within each.
Research priorities that are outside of the scope of the three referenced pathogens are included in an Other Food Safety Research section. As AMIF actively seeks solutions to food safety concerns, proposals that fall outside the scope of the attached priorities will be accepted. Please contact AMIF stuff if you wish to discuss specific topics further.
