Zoom in font  Zoom out font Published: 2012-05-12  Origin: AMIF
Core Tip: The American Meat Institute Foundation (AMIF) today released its 2012-2013 request for pre-proposals (RFP).
AMIF invites pre-proposals on applied and fundamental research that will improve the control of microbial pathogens in meat and poultry products.

AMIF is soliciting pre-proposals on controlling Shiga toxin-producing
Escherichia coli in fresh beef products,Listeria monocytogenes on ready-to-eat (RTE) meat and poultry products, and Salmonella in meat and poultry products.  The priorities are listed by pathogen and are further categorized within each.

Research priorities that are outside of the scope of the three referenced pathogens are included in an Other Food Safety Research section.  As AMIF actively seeks solutions to food safety concerns, proposals that fall outside the scope of the attached priorities will be accepted. Please contact
AMIF stuff  if you wish to discuss specific topics further.
