According to Zhanjiang Customs statistics, in the first 10 months of this year, Maoming, enjoy the “tilapia capital” reputation, exported 50, 000 tons tilapia and its products, an increase of 13.4%, worth 1.05 billion yuan, an increase of 13.8% year on year. Its export accounted for 87.5% of the total seafood export in Maoming, also topping that list of enterprises in Guangdong province exporting aquatic products. The tilapia and its product exported by Maoming accounted for 26.9% of the total in Guangdong province. The products are exported to 49 countries and regions, including the United States, Mexico, Côte d’Ivoire, Israel, South Africa and so on.
In order to better support the industries with geo-characteristics in western Guangdong, the Company endeavored to expand overseas market and promote foreign trade to stabilize. All the beneficial measures would accordingly reduce the cost of customs clearance for enterprises and actively help enterprises to seize opportunities on foreign markets.
