Harris Teeter recalls five flavors of sorbet due to allergy risk

Core Tip: US supermarket chain Harris Teeter is recalling five flavors of HT Traders Sorbet due to allergy risk, according to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
The sorbets may contain milk protein - a known allergen, which is not declared on the label.

People with milk allergy can experience serious reaction if they consume these products. The company has asked consumers who are concerned about the recalled products to return it for a full refund.

The products affected by the recall are: HT Traders Sorbet Lemon; HT Traders Sorbet Raspberry; HT Traders Sorbet Mango; HT Traders Sorbet Coconut; and HT Traders Sorbet Orange.

Harris Teeter, based in North Carolina, operates stores in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, Tennessee, Maryland, Delaware, Florida and the District of Columbia.
