Frozen turkey stocks totaled 438,507,000 lbs, up 17% from March and up 20% from April 2011, the U.S.D.A. said. Total chicken stocks were 606,583,000 lbs, up 6% from March but down 18% from a year ago. Total frozen poultry stocks were 1,048,361,000, up 10% from March but down 6% from April 2011.
Natural cheese stocks on April 30 were 1,024,836,000 lbs, up 2% from March but down 1% from April 2011. Butter stocks totaled 253,854,000 lbs, up 22% from March and up 79% from April 2011.
Frozen red meat supplies were 1,200,312,000 lbs, up 5% from March and up 19% from April 2011. Frozen pork stocks totaled 659,532,000 lbs, up 8% from March and up 20% from April 2011. Frozen pork belly stocks were 74,780,000 lbs, up 13% from March and up 41% from April 2011. Beef stocks in freezers totaled 517,528,000 lbs, up 3% from March and up 17% from April 2011.
Total frozen egg stocks on April 30 were 32,468,000 lbs, down 4% from March but up 17% from April 2011. Stocks of egg whites were 3,369,000 lbs, down 9% from March and down 10% from April 2011. Frozen egg yolk stocks were 2,672,000 lbs, down 1% from March but up 60% from April 2011. Whole and mixed egg stocks were 9,655,000 lbs, down 6% from March but up 61% from April 2011.
Unclassified egg stocks were 16,772,000 lbs, down 1% from March but up 3% from April 2011.
Stocks of frozen orange juice concentrate on April 30, 2012, were 1,006,860,000 lbs, up 13% from March and up 21% from April 2011. Stocks of all types of frozen fruit on April 30 were 817,790,000 lbs, down 7% from March but up 6% from April 2011.
Stocks of frozen french fries were 889,554,000 lbs, up 1% from March and up 4% from April 2011. Total vegetable stocks (excluding potatoes) on April 30 were 1,648,199,000 lbs, down 7% from March but up 3% from April 2011, the U.S.D.A. said.
