Core Tip: Healthy Farm, a leading producer of high-quality food products in Russia, has invested in its first joint solution for its poultry processing plant.

The company will combine equipment from Meyn and Ishida, which will enable it to double capacity to 152,000 birds per day. Healthy Farm said the increased capacity will strengthen its position in the market.

A new Meyn processing line will be installed to extend the existing line, which was originally installed by Meyn in 2009. This, linked with a new state-of-the-art multihead weighing and batching line from Ishida, will provide a solution for all steps in the packaging process, which Healthy Farm CEO Evgeny Sergeevich Narukov hopes will reduce production costs.

Meyn and Ishida together, Healthy Farm said, combine both the “sophisticated expertise” of Meyn’s poultry processing with Ishida’s experience in end-of-line equipment and solutions.

Narukov said: “With previous Meyn projects, we already dramatically reduced labour costs and increased the quality of our final product. Now with Meyn-Ishida we will also be reducing our give-away and increase product reliability considerably.”

The company is currently building additional housing capacity and said it hopes to have the new “high-tech” plant in operation by the end of 2012.
