Core Tip: Tasmanian Bakeries, a bakery based in Tasmania, Australia, has announced an expansion plan which will boost its production by 80% over the next two years and create 22 new jobs.
The expansion will allow Tasmanian Bakeries to launch its products such as pie and sausage roll in other states as well as in the Asian markets.

The company noted that the expansion plan has received a grant of $70,000 (A$ 71,885) from the Tasmanian Innovation and Investment Fund. The grant was announced by Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Industry and Innovation Mark Dreyfus, reported Themercury.com.au.

The grant will allow Tasmanian Bakeries to invest A$1.5m ($1.54m) to purchase new equipment for meat processing, pie and sausage roll manufacturing, meat processing, and baking, freezing, chilling and wrapping.

Dreyfus said the capacity upgrade will address the demand of the company's consumers in Australia with 200 product lines, and also facilitate expansion into overseas markets.
