Canada beefs up food inspection

CCA president Martin Unrau said. “On-farm biosecurity is one of the front lines of prevention for managing the risk of animal diseases for cattle producers. This standard will provide the industry with a valuable tool to reduce the risk of disease entering cattle operations.”


Although many of the proposals are already widely practised, the programme introduces a national standard applicable for farms of all sizes, which will help beef sector measure standards.
