British grocery chain Tesco plans to increase the range of its alternative fish varieties, after sales of sustainably caught fish rocketed over the past 52 weeks.
Tesco under the program, will offer a range of seasonal fish of 60 varieties up from 40.
By adding fresh octopus, Dover sole and fresh squid to its new seasonal lines, Tesco will become the first major high street retailer to sell these species, The Guardian reports.
Wild turbot, black bream, witch soles, brill, grey mullet, fresh cuttlefish and anchovies are some of the species being added to the range, which will be harvested in British coastal waters.
