Cut reliance on seasonal confectionery in Brazil with premium goods – Leatherhead

Core Tip: Confectioners are struggling to reduce their dependence on seasonal products in Brazil, but could benefit from the growth of premium chocolate, according to an analyst from Leatherhead Food Research.
Jonathan Thomas, primary market analyst at Leatherhead said: “One key challenge for manufacturers would appear to be reducing the reliance on seasonal occasions, when consumption of chocolate tends to increase sharply (e.g. during the winter months).
