e of peppermint chocolates is launching in the UK.Summerdown use pure English mint, and during the last fifteen years, Summerdown has reintroduced traditional Black Mitcham peppermint to this country, relearning lost farming skills from America and combining them with the latest technology at our farm in the foothills of the Hampshire downs.
After the harvest, the mint leaves are taken to the brands purpose-built distillery.
The result is a rare single-estate peppermint oil, with consistent quality.
It has a cooler, more intense flavour and scent than other varieties.
All of the new chocolates from the brand have this very different taste from the harsher, blended, imported peppermint of the past 60 years.
