Pure Holdings, a Missouri-based parent company of Purus Vodka, is to add a new flavored spirit - POMACAI - to its portfolio of super-premium spirits in early 2013.

POMACAI is a blend of pomegranate, acai berry and premium vodka that possesses natural fruit flavors. It carries an alcohol level of 35% ABV or 70 proof.

Pure Holdings president Mike Hopson said the spirit has jewel-like color and light mouth feel with hints of berry, chocolate and tangy sweetness.

The spirit is housed in a 750ml bubble pattern bottle with polished metal screw-top cap.

Hopson said the right packaging is absolutely critical for high-end spirits brands.

"When consumers look at an array of choices on the back bar or grocery shelf, your packaging needs to stand out and reflect the overall quality of the liquid and encompass the image of the brand. The bubble pattern of the POMACAI bottle, the color of the liquid, and the flavor distinguishes it from other flavored vodkas," he added.

POMACAI will initially be available in Missouri and North Carolina, and later will be rolled out in other states like Illinois, Texas, Florida, Arizona, New Mexico and more than 50 US Air Force bases through the Army and Air Force Exchange Service.
