Skuna BayVancouver-based Skuna Bay is now offering its Vancouver Island Craft-Raised Salmon to the upper Midwest, following the forming of a new distribution partnership with The Fish Guys of Minneapolis, Minn.

Skuna Bay began selling its farmed salmon in the American southwest starting in 2011, and now the company will begin selling its salmon, through Fish Guys, to customers in Minnesota, North and South Dakota. The company will also use this opportunity to expand farther into Iowa and Wisconsin.

“We pride ourselves on providing chefs with only the highest-quality seafood,” said Brent Casper, founder of The Fish Guys. “We are thrilled to be working with Skuna Bay, farmers who have demonstrated incredibly high standards and an unrivaled attention to detail — and who spend their lives raising salmon responsibly.”

After its expansions, Skuna Bay now sells its salmon in high-end restaurants and boutique retailers across 23 states, including Minnesota.

“We are excited to continue our expansion into Minnesota and the Dakotas where we think chefs will appreciate the attention to detail we put into getting them great 10-pound salmon year round,” said Dave Mergle, Skuna Bay’s director.
