Following the success of its new U.K. marketing campaign, the Norwegian Seafood Council (NSC) has announced plans to open a London office.
The U.K. is Norway’s 7th biggest export market and the decision to open the new office has been made following 18 months of successful marketing activity — managed from the organizations Paris office.
The MSC works with industry stakeholders to raise awareness and drive sales of seafood from Norway across sectors including grocery, fish and chips shops and HoReCa. The new office will help develop and nurture opportunities for Norwegian seafood products within the U.K. market, and a new director is being recruited for this office which is due to open in summer 2013.
“This is incredibly exciting news and the London office will be of great benefit for all exporters, importers, partners and distributors of Norwegian seafood in the U.K.,” said Johan Kvalheim, NSC U.K. and France director. “The U.K. is an incredibly important market and our presence here will enable us to cement our commitment to the U.K.”
