Core Tip: Pernod Ricard has completed the sale of aquavit and bitter brands to Norway-based Arcus-Gruppen for €103m.
Pernod Ricard has completed the sale of the Danish aquavit brands Aalborg and Brondums, the German brand Malteserkreuz Aquavit and the Danish bitter brand Gammel Dansk to Norway-based Arcus-Gruppen for €103m.

Pernod sold the brands to focus on its main brands. The transaction also included sale of the Aalborg production facility - Danish Distillers Distillery - in Denmark.

On 13 July 2012, both Pernod and Arcus signed an agreement for the sale. BNP Paribas, Horten and Gide Loyrette Nouel advised the company in the transaction.

Arcus-Gruppen is involved in the production, sale and distribution of wine and spirits in the Nordic region.
