American restaurant chain Johnny Rockets is planning to open 12 outlets over the next two years across UAE, as part of its strategy to expand its footprint in the Middle East.
The chain will open five restaurants in Dubai and Abu Dhabi by the end of June 2013, while another seven outlets will come up in Al Ain and Sharjah by 2015.
Johnny Rockets UAE co-managing directors Wael and Zaher Samman were quoted by The National as saying that they are delighted to boost its presence in UAE.
"This is a clear indication that the UAE has grown into a very mature market and has thus attracted a more demanding population mix, with a higher disposable income, and this is key in helping various business sectors grow and flourish," added Wael and Zaher.
The company, which saw a 63% surge in revenues from UAE for last three years, expects a 45% increase in sales in the current fiscal year.
