Wheat saw further support from dry and cooler weather in the Plains. Corn also saw spillover support from other grains. However, slow export demand and lower ethanol production limit the gains.
Soybeans saw gains from concerns of drier outlook for parts of South America and overnight export announcement. Soybean exports were very bullish with a total of 1,608,800 tonnes.
Corn export sales came in at 393,300 tonnes.
Wheat weekly exports sales were positive coming in above estimates at 536,200 tonnes.
Wheat was mostly 30-40 cents higher. Yellow Corn was 21-28 cents higher. Sorghum was 37-47 cents higher. Soybeans were 47-58 cents higher.
WHEAT:
• Kansas City US No 1 Hard Red Winter, ordinary protein rail bid was 30 1/2 to 40 1/2 cents higher from 9.02-9.45 per bushel.
• Kansas City US No 2 Soft Red winter rail bid no quote per bushel.
• St. Louis truck US No 2 Soft Red Winter terminal bid was 39 cents higher at 7.96 per bushel.
• Minneapolis and Duluth US No 1 Dark Northern Spring, 14.0 to 14.5 percent protein rail, was 30 to 33 cents higher from 9.44 1/4-9.59 1/4 per bushel.
• Portland US Soft White wheat rail was 20 1/2 to 26 1/4 cents higher from 8.50-8.71 1/4 per bushel.
CORN:
• Kansas City US No 2 rail White Corn was 35 to 37 cents higher from 7.98-8.12 per bushel.
• Kansas City US No 2 truck Yellow Corn was 26 cents higher at 7.63 per bushel.
• Omaha US No 2 truck Yellow Corn was 21 cents higher at 7.48 per bushel.
• Chicago US No 2 Yellow Corn was 25 3/4 to 28 3/4 cents higher from 7.40 1/2-7.45 1/2 per bushel.
• Toledo US No 2 rail Yellow corn was 25 3/4 cents higher from 7.34 1/2-7.38 1/2 per bushel.
• Minneapolis US No 2 Yellow corn rail was 24 3/4 cents higher at 7.03 1/2 per bushel.
OATS AND BARLEY:
• US 2 or Better oats, rail bid to arrive at Minneapolis 20 day was 15 1/2 cents higher from 3.80-4.00 per bushel.
• US No 3 or better rail malting Barley, 70 percent or better plump out of Minneapolis was 5 cents lower at 7.05 per bushel.
• Portland US 2 Barley, unit trains and Barges-export was not available per cwt.
SORGHUM:
• US No 2 yellow truck, Kansas City was 47 cents higher at 12.95 per cwt.
• Texas High Plains US No 2 yellow sorghum (prices paid or bid to the farmer, fob elevator) was 37 to 46 cents higher from 12.23-12.85 per cwt.
OILSEEDS:
• Minneapolis Yellow truck soybeans no bid per bushel.
• Illinois Processors US No 1 Yellow truck soybeans were 47 1/2 to 55 1/2 cents higher from 14.62 1/4-14.75 1/4 per bushel.
• Kansas City US No 2 Yellow truck soybeans were 58 cents higher at 14.78 per bushel.
• Central Illinois 48 percent Soybean meal, processor rail bid was 8.40 higher from 429.0-433.00 per ton.
• Central Illinois Crude Soybean oil processor bid was 174 points higher from 48.99-49.74 cents per pound.
