Hardcastle Restaurants, the master franchisee of fast food major McDonald’s in the south-west region of India plans to unveil 90 new outlets by the end of FY 2015.
The company, as part of the expansion spree, unveiled a new outlet in Kochi, Kerala.
Hardcastle Restaurants vice chairman Amit Jatia remarked that currently the chain has 160 outlets in the country with a target set for 250 by March 2016.
"In the last two years, we doubled the number of our stores from 80 to 160 and we will have 230 to 250 restaurants towards the end of FY15," outlined Jatia.
Hardcastle's primary market is Maharashtra with 80 outlets with overall operations spread across 15 towns in 7 states.
Jatia clarified that Hardcastle currently does not have any plans to expand further in the state of Kerala to cities like Kozhikode or Thiruvananthapuram.
