The first essay of Natural Products Scandinavia – the international trade show for natural and organic products in the Nordic region, which was organised by Diversified Business Communications UK – bagged an award for best international launch at the annual Exhibition News Awards ceremony, which took place at the Lancaster London recently.
The event, which took place in Malmö, Sweden, in October 2012, attracted 2,009 attendees from 65 countries and beat Grand Designs Australia (organised by Media 10/Diversified Exhibitions Australia), PROPAK West Africa, and CPhl South East Asia to the accolade in the international launch category.
Now in its seventh year, the Exhibition News Awards brought over 800 industry professionals together to recognise and celebrate the achievements of both individuals and companies that had made an exceptional contribution to exhibitions over the past twelve months. Event manager Zoe Jackson-Cooper accepted the award on behalf of the Natural Products Scandinavia team.
“From design and marketing, to sales, finance and operations, we do everything in-house, so we are extremely proud that Natural Products Scandinavia has been recognised by the industry in this way,” she said.
Jackson-Cooper added, “For our first non-UK event to have won Best International Launch is really amazing, and the full credit must go to the whole team here at Diversified Business Communications UK. We are not saying it was easy, but all our hard work certainly paid off!”
“It’s such a fantastic endorsement for the show going forward,” Sam Sloan, marketing director, Diversified Business Communications UK, said.
“We always knew that there was a real need within the natural and organic industry for an event like this in Scandinavi,a but the way it has been so positively received internationally has been beyond even our greatest expectations. We would like to thank our exhibitors, visitors, and partners for helping to make Natural Products Scandinavia’s launch event so special. We share this honour with them,” Sloan added.
Meanwhile, another event organised by Diversified Business Commuincations UK – the 17th edition of Natural & Organic Products Europe – took place at London's Olympia recently. About 8,810 industry professionals from 76 countries took part this year compared to 7,352 last year, indicating a 20 per cent increase in the attendance.
Natural Products Scandinavia will return to MalmoMassan, Malmo for its second edition, which is slated to take place on October 20 and 21, 2013. A highlight of this year's event will be the new co-located Nordic Organic Food Fair.
