Estrella Azul, a Panama-based dairy company, has opened a new facility to expand the packaging of its dairy products and fruit juices in the country.
The company hopes to invest $20m in this plant which will be capable of packaging dairy products, fruit juice and nectars by using Tetra Top and Tetra Gemina packaging technology
The move is part of a strategic plan to establish a platform for growth, based on the most advanced technology.
Estrella Azul operations development manager Frank Tedman was quoted by en.centralamericadata.com as saying that this new facility will enable the company to produce products that lasts for an average of 30 days.
Mexico-based coke bottler Coca-Cola Femsa, along with The Coca-Cola, acquired Estrella Azul on 28 March 2013.
