In Zone Brands, the privately held children’s beverage company that creates healthy juice drinks for children, announced today that beverage industry veteran Carl Sweat has joined the company as Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer. Sweat will be responsible for strategic leadership and execution of In Zone’s branding, marketing, innovation and sales efforts.

Sweat has more than 25 years in the beverage industry, most recently as President and CEO of The FRS Company, a privately held beverage and supplement company that makes healthy alternatives to traditional energy drinks. Prior to joining FRS, Sweat was Senior Vice President of Global Beverage at Starbucks, where he was responsible for the global beverage P&L, product portfolio strategy and new products and packages. Before his position with Starbucks, Sweat spent 22 years in general management, brand marketing and franchise leadership with The Coca-Cola Company. His most recent Coca-Cola position included serving as FUZE Beverage Company President and General Manager. In addition, Sweat served as Senior Vice President of US Retail Sales and Regional Marketing and in key leadership roles with Sprite and Coca-Cola brand management.
He has been recognized for excellence in general management, innovation, execution, marketing strategy and advertising, including a Gold Effie for Excellence in Advertising from the American Marketing Association.
