Huber Engineered Materials, a division of J.M. Huber Corporation, will launch two "super carrier" silicon dioxides for powdered food and industrial applications at the 2013 Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) Annual Meeting and Food Expo.
The silicon dioxides have been designed to deliver performance by providing a carrying capacity at three times their weight as liquids, while offering anti-caking and free-flow properties. Zeofree®PLUS 5191 is a carrier in the form of spray-dried powder with an average particle size of 25 microns and Zeofree®PLUS 5193 is a conditioning agent in the form of milled powder with an average particle size of 14 microns. These new silicon dioxides will be showcased at the company's booth, along with a broad line of other anti-caking and free-flow agents and silica grade deformers available for various food applications.
Also at this year's IFT Food Expo, the U.S. Dairy Export Council® (USDEC) will showcase dairy ingredients for food and beverage manufacturers and ADM will feature a range of new offerings.
