Dutch dairy cooperative Royal FrieslandCampina is set to install a new evaporator at FrieslandCampina Domo milk processing facility in Bedum, Netherlands.
The new 3.5m wide and 24m long evaporator is designed to evaporate water from milk to form powder.
FrieslandCampina is investing more than €100m for the expansion of its Bedum facility.
The project is a part of the cooperative's substantial capacity growth strategy at FrieslandCampina Domo The strategy seeks to process the anticipated increase in the quantity of milk from 2015.
FrieslandCampina stated that with the installation of the new evaporator, the Bedum facility will allow the company to produce infant and toddler nutrition.
FrieslandCampina Domo, an operating company of FrieslandCampina, develops, produces, and markets ingredients, base powders and semi-finished products based on whey, milk, other dairy components and total infant nutrition to producers of infant and toddler nutrition.
