Drinks giant Beam has introduced a new flavor, Strawberry Shortcake, to its Pinnacle Vodka portfolio to celebrate the National Strawberry Shortcake Day on 14 June 2013.
Pinnacle Strawberry Shortcake Vodka features flavors of sweet ripened strawberries and cream blended with pastry notes.
The 70-proof drink can be consumed neat or can be used as a base to prepare cocktails like Summer Berries & Cream, Citrus Smart Mouth and others.
The Summer Berries & Cream cocktail is prepared by mixing two parts Pinnacle Strawberry Shortcake Vodka, one part strawberry schnapps, two parts cranberry juice and one part half & half, whereas Citrus Smart Mouth is prepared by blending two parts Pinnacle Strawberry Shortcake Vodka, Splash DeKuyper Triple Sec Liqueur, one part grapefruit juice and one part pineapple juice.
Pinnacle Strawberry Shortcake Vodka is available nationwide at a suggested retail price of $12.99 per 750ml bottle.
The new flavor, Strawberry Shortcake, follows the recently released Rainbow Sherbet flavor, and joins the line-up of Pinnacle brand's more than 30 flavors.
