According to this article published by World Bulletin, Turkey is implementing two new directives, the Food Additives Directive and the Flour Directive, under which the public will have the option to consume bread that is free of additives. This bread will also contain less salt, more fiber, and more protein and vitamins. Previously, subsidized bread has contained 17 types of additives.
Turkey’s food additive use regulations are not currently included in the International Food Additive Database.
