Peet’s Coffee & Tea, a US-based specialty coffee and tea company, is all set to expand its market presence in Columbus, Ohio, by launching six new outlets.
The opening of new outlets comes as part of the next phase of company's expansion plan.
This move is the company's biggest retail expansion in its 47-year history. Under the expansion plan, Peet's plans to launch 10 new stores in the Cleveland area.
The hot beverages retailer's new outlets are coming up in Columbus, Heath, Gahanna and Upper Arlington by September 2013.
Peet's Coffee & Tea president and CEO David Burwick said, "On the heels of our successful expansion into the Cleveland market earlier this month which brought Peet's coffee to thousands of customers, we are excited to offer our premium, quality coffee to current Peet's fans and new customers in the Columbus, OH area. Columbus deeply values its community and we are thrilled to be entering the area while working with and supporting local businesses."
Peet's Coffee & Tea is gearing up to open more stores in 2013, which includes two stores in Dayton and several more stores in Pennsylvania and Michigan. This outlets are scheduled to launch late this fall.
In early 2014, the company will open new stores throughout the Midwest and East Coast.
