René Plasman has been appointed to the executive board of Netto Marken-Discount, with chief responsibility for buying.
Plasman's appointment comes three months after the sudden death of Netto MD Franz Pröls in May of this year. The 40-year-old joins from the buying department of Netto's parent company Edeka.
Plasman previously worked for Schwarz Group’s discounter Lidl and later Rewe Group.
