Core Tip: The Italian kiwi fruit production season is in full swing.
"The Italian kiwi fruit production season is in full swing. This year's production volume increased in comparison with last year's production volume because of excellent weather conditions. Product quality is also much better than last year. The kiwi fruit production volume in Taiwan, however, is limited as the surface area devoted to kiwi fruit production is limited. Market demand therefore turns to imported kiwi fruit. Our surveys show that the retail volume of imported kiwi fruit in Taiwan has been relatively stable in recent years." This is according to Zhou Wenxuan of Xiangjing International Co., Ltd.

"The surface area devoted to fruit plantation in Taiwan only comes second after surface area devoted to rice plantation. Production areas are spread across the island. The production of popular tropical and subtropical fruits includes bananas, grapefruit, pineapples, wax apples, guavas, and custard apples. We have a great variety of export products. We are currently in the middle of the production seasons of oranges and ruby grapefruit."

"We are a fruit import company located in Taiwan. We currently import from Chile, New Zealand, the USA, South Africa, Italy, France, Japan, and Korea. We import cherries, oranges, apples, grapes, grapefruit, and kiwi fruit. We also export Taiwanese fruit mainly to markets in mainland China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Korea, because distribution in this area is relatively convenient and demand is great."

"We sell the fruit we import under general brands or under our own registered brands in wholesale markets, supermarkets, and e-commerce platforms. While we continue to develop our market share, we also hope to open up new retail channels and reach more consumers with our top-quality fruits."
