Core Tip: Carrefour is to offer wine shoppers a 'new plugged-in shopping experience' when it takes over a square in front of La Défense with a temporary wine fair.
According to twine fairhe retailer, the pop-up outlet will feature 'a spectacular 30m long display made up of more than 120 barrels, representing the 71 various wines that have been carefully selected by the retailer's wine experts'.

One wine bottle representing each vintage will be placed in a barrel with a QR code at the fair. Once scanned, product information is sent to the shopper.

Customers will then be able to submit their orders with tablet computers at the fair, or directly using their own smartphones. Their purchases will then be delivered directly to their homes within 5 days.

'Open every day from 11 AM to 8 PM, the store has been designed to welcome thousands of wine lovers every day'.

To guide consumers as they browse through the vintages, two wine experts will be holding wine information workshops, with daily sessions from 11:30am until 2:30pm, and then again from 5pm until 8pm.

The show will feature wines at prices ranging from €3.85 to €285.
