French retailer, Carrefour, has reconfirmed it's commitment to mainland China and has promised more shop openings in the near future.
Thierry Garnier, CEO of Carrefour China says that following a 2 year expansion plan, Carrefour plans to have shops in 100 towns (they currently have 75). He says that Carrefour have opened 20 new hypermarkets in 2013 in mainland China. They will also put effort into offering more food imported from France.
The company organised a Sino-French meeting to discuss quality of food to help improve the industry's norms.
