The Louisiana Seafood Promotion and Marketing Board announced today that it is accepting applications for a new executive director, to succeed Ewell Smith.
Smith resigned in August after changes in Louisiana state law placed oversight of the board in the hands of the Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism, headed up by Lt. Governor Jay Dardenne, and forced the board to move.
Dardenne will select the next director from candidates who submit their applications during the application period, which runs through 6 October.
