Frutec has made a new picking train for a customer. "There is a development of customers picking straight into the box and a low picking train makes that very taxing for the pickers and lowers the speed, as the fruit takes longer to get in the box because the bottom of the box is closer to the ground," says Kees Donker.
The new raised picking train by Frutec has built the box at the same height as the traditional picking train will the wheels under them, with the difference that the Frutec picking train has the wheels behind it, so that the train won't sway. "We fitted them with ball joints and mud flaps for this customer. Of course this picking train is removable and is foreseen of the extra seals on the bearings," concludes Kees.
