The "Icl Specialty Fertilizer" division (Icl group) launched AngelaWeb 2.0, a software for planning fertilizing according to the characteristics of the crop, vegetative state and water available at the company.
Based on this data, the most suitable fertilizers are suggested in order to adapt the nutritive solution to the characteristics of water for irrigation i.e. EC pH and HCO3 value and volumes. The final output is a professional report with a custom-made programme.
The database includes more than a thousand crops and was created on the basis of years of experience and numerous scientific tests carried out by leading European research centres. It is available in 16 languages and is continuously updated.
In addition to the software, which won the Technical excellence award at the Four Oaks Trade show in Macclesfield (England) this summer, the company also presented their own range of foliar, water-soluble and programmed release fertilizers, "In which Everris is a global leader," as Marco Castagneto (photo above), Segment Sales manager Agricoltura Speciale Italia, explained.
"Among the water-soluble ones, the Select range has three products exclusive to Everris: Quick-Mg, MagPhos and PeKacis which, in addition to a high concentration of nutritive elements (80%) include acids in solid form."
"Various dealers and sales agents visited us at Macfrut, many of which came from the Mediterranean basin. There were also some freelance technicians and production managers. Perhaps organisers should think of a way to increase relations between Production and Sale by organising meetings around tables or seminars. In addition, we feel that more space should be granted to present research projects and innovative products."
Regarding the new products launched at the fair, the manager from Everris does not hide the fact that the feedback was rather lukewarm: "It is difficult to present nutritional products if that's not the spirit of the event."
"Even if this is not a fair created for those in need of fertilizers, our judgement is positive nonetheless, as it is still a meeting point for the companies producing special fertilizers. Despite being only a national event, the presence of operators from the Middle East and the Maghreb was very interesting."
Everris aims at optimizing the growth of plants and turf. Thanks to its brands - Sierrablen®, Greenmaster®, Sierraform®GT, Greenmaster® e Osmocote® - it is one of the leaders in the nursery garden, fruit and vegetable and landscape sectors.
