ers got the opportunity to do their shopping and not pay a single red cent for it as Migros celebrated the opening of their 1,000th store in Şanlıurfa, Turkey.The official opening of the new store took place last Thursday along with massive celebrations and was attended by Fuat Yanar, Vice President of Migros Group.
The new location comes as a different format to any previous Migros store which has gone before, "aiming to provide an experience combining fun, comfort and affordable prices in shopping," according to a statement.
It covers an area of 4250 m2 and comes equipped with 17 cash registers and 120 staff. It will offer customers over 30,000 different products from domestic appliances to electronics, glassware to cosmetics, and to food and beverages.
Keeping the numbers theme for the occasion, Migros celebrated the opening of their new store with a cake for 1,000 guests. The first 1,000 customers to buy goods at the new Sanlifura store were only told that there purchase would be free of charge when they went through the tills.
