Ireland-based The Teeling Whiskey Company has introduced new single grain Irish whiskey, which the company claims to be one of the rare expressions in the world.
The 46% ABV whiskey product is made mainly with maize and corn, and has been put through a process called column distillation.
The spirit is fully matured in Californian Cabernet Sauvignon wine barrels, creating rich amber color, while proving spicy notes as well as red berry and grape flavors.
Teeling Whiskey Company founder Jack Teeling said, "Our new Teeling Single Grain is representative of our aim to help drive the expansion of the Irish whiskey category through unique bottlings and expressions."
Teeling Single Grain is currently available in Ireland, the UK, the US and Benelux countries. Its SRP in Ireland is €50 per 70cl bottle.
