Core Tip: Cool Wave Processing has announced that the tests it performed with the mild preservation technology PurePulse to treat raw milk are positive in terms of food safety, taste and nutritional value.
Cool Wave Processing, a Netherlands-based firm, has announced that the tests it performed with the mild preservation technology PurePulse to treat raw milk are positive in terms of food safety, taste and nutritional value.

PurePulse is expected to make fresh raw milk available on a larger scale, as well as other distribution channels.

Currently, PurePulse is used to treat fresh juices. However, the company is seeking to use the technology on raw milk as it may disable harmful organisms that are naturally found in raw milk, by retaining the original flavor and nutrients.

According to Cool Wave Processing, the research into the optimal process parameters for treating raw milk is still underway.

Food Valley NL's innovation voucher has backed the research.
