Mexican cheese and sour cream producer Los Altos Food Products has selected the Deacom Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to streamline its manufacturing operations.
The food maker has been seeking an ERP solution that handles its functional requirements as well as serves as a catalyst for growth.
According to Deacom, Los Altos noted the elimination of modules and customizations, warehouse management system (WMS) and direct store distribution (DSD) functionality built into Deacom's ERP as a major positive.
Other benefits include robust traceability, user configurability, fast and accurate reporting, and the simplicity of new version upgrades and release updates.
Deacom's WMS eliminates the risks associated with manual inventory transactions, allowing real-time transactions with a single scan. The DSD application allows Los Altos drivers to create/manage orders, create/print invoices, scan products, capture signatures, manage their route, and etc.
Los Altos Operations and Risk manager John Clement said, "While we did consider other solutions, we ultimately were not interested in taking on a system that requires costly modules and customizations.
"With DEACOM, we will be able to focus on growing the business with confidence that our ERP system will enable our evolution, rather than hinder it."
