SnackHealthy, Inc. announced today the launch of its Organic Harvest™ line of gourmet sausages, produced at the largest organic pork farm in North America. The sausages are fully cooked, blended in organic spices, hardwood-smoked in pork casings and processed in San Francisco from 100% organic certified pork. They are available in five dinner and one breakfast packaging.
Richard Damion, SnackHealthy's CEO commented, "No antibiotics, synthetic hormones, or growth agents are used in the process and the animals are fed to maturity exclusively on GMO-free organic vegetable grain. We believe this is the only mass-produced organic pork sausage manufactured in the USA."
SnackHealthy's Organic Harvest™ Pork Sausage will be exclusively imported into China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore by Hong Kong based Sterling Food Solutions LTD. Shipments to the Dairy Farm Group, one of the largest retailers in the region with over 5,000 retail locations, should begin after the Chinese New Year in 2014. The line will be offered to the trade at the "Food & Hotel Asia" show in Singapore April of 2014.
"This is the first of several fine food products we plan to bring to market in the months ahead. Though we specifically developed this product to meet the strong demand in Asia, the line will also be offered to select retailers in the United States in early 2014," Damion added.
According to figures for 2012, U.S. supermarket dinner sausage sales tallied $2.06 billion. Breakfast sausage/pork sales came in at more than $1.4 billion according to the National Hot Dog & Sausage Council. China is the world's largest consumer of pork with per-capita pork consumption of 86 pounds and steadily increasing versus 56 pounds in the USA according to Minneapolis-based Northstar Commodity Investment Group.
