Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen is attempting to "out buffalo" the buffalo wing with its Bayou Buffalo Wicked Chicken.
The new chicken offering features all white meat chicken marinated in a Louisiana-style buffalo marinade, tossed in a Bayou Buffalo sauce and then fried. Bayou Buffalo Wicked Chicken is served with Popeyes new Bleu Cheese Dipping Sauce, regular fries, and a biscuit for $3.99 through Jan. 26.
Popeyes, a division of AFC Enterprises Inc., had 2,187 operating restaurants operating in the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam, the Cayman Islands and 28 foreign countries as of Oct. 6, 2013.
