SONIC Drive-In has entered into a franchise agreement with Coast to Coast Commercial to open ten new drive-in restaurants in Los Angeles as part of its plans to expand in the US state of California.

The ten new units will span various areas of Los Angeles, with focus on Northern Los Angeles County including, the Santa Clarita and San Fernando Valleys, along with communities near the 210 Corridor. It is expected to result in about 500 new jobs.

First two drive-ins are expected to open in August 2015.

In addition to this deal, SONIC is seeking multiple franchise partners in Southern, Central and Northern California, as part of the chain's plan to open as many as 300 drive-ins across the state by 2020.

In June 2013, SONIC Drive-In announced a franchise agreement to open 15 new SONIC Drive-Ins in Southern California in the next six years, with five new drive-ins in San Diego County and 10 new drive-ins in the greater West Riverside County area.

With this new announcement, the total number of outlets signed in Southern California has reached 25.

Coast to Coast Commercial currently owns and operates six other SONIC Drive-Ins in Southern California.
