Following strong growth in both member numbers and profile over recent years, the FPA is looking to strengthen its core team in 2014 with the recruitment of an Executive Chair who will work alongside the existing paid role in the organisation in order to increase activity further and take an even more proactive role in industry matters.
Good representation for the Foodservice Packaging industry at the highest level is vital to members’ futures, and this combined with strong communication skills, lively activity in all stakeholder arenas and the ability to speak and act on the industry’s behalf will hallmark this new appointment. The role will complement existing FPA activity and work better to inform and support members across the wider business landscape, strengthening an already key industry position.
Applicants would benefit from an understanding of the foodservice packaging sector and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally across a wide range of media and professional contacts, but consideration will be given to any candidates that have a professional background that could meet the brief, welcoming applicants from all industry backgrounds and those who have worked in similar roles
Knowledge of other industry bodies in this and other sectors and the ability and understanding to promote the interest of members at every opportunity including ensuring a level playing field for the industry and promoting manufacturing in the UK and Ireland.
