2013 was a good year for Carton Pack, leading company in the food packaging industry.

"There were significant improvements thanks to new partnerships abroad and new agents. From a technical point of view, there were innovations in the fresh produce thermoformed range and we reached a good level of sales," explains marketing manager Massimiliano Persico.

Carton Pack offers a wide range of products - PET trays, clamshells, flexible bags and films, customised cardboard boxes, palletisation material, labels and strips - thanks to its logistics and productive structure of 40,000 and 60,000 sq m respectively.

Thermoformed products did really well both in terms of volume and value and so became the flagship of the company, especially on the European market.

"In 2013, there were many technological improvements for both thermoformed products as well as flexible and rigid films. We cooperated with the main research centres in Italy and abroad and worked on new solutions. We invested quite a lot in order to optimise production, logistics and distribution."

"New PP and PET packaging solutions were developed taking into consideration the customising needs of clients. In addition, we introduced new raw materials as well as new physical and chemical solutions for plastic sheets in order to improve their performance and bring them into compliance with recycling and environmental friendliness standards."

"In Berlin, we will present an alternative to the traditional PET trays- iPET-Trays® are in fact obtained using an innovative material."

"They weigh half of the standard PET trays and 40% less raw material is used, so costs are cut considerably. 80% of iPET-Trays® are made up of recycled material, so the environmental impact is very low. They look similar to a paper/cardboard tray and therefore are ideal for customisation. In addition, their molecular structure means they can guarantee exceptional thermal insulation."

You can visit Carton Pack at Fruit Logistica 2014, Hall 4.2 - Stand A-04. CEO Gianni Leone, sales manager Giuseppe Leone and marketing manager Massimiliano Persico will represent the company.
