The U.S. giant Walmart closed the year 2013 in Mexico with the worst turnover in the last fifteen years. The company billed U.S. $27,317,000 (20.196 million Euro) in the Mexican country, 1.3% less than in 2012.

The U.S. multinational registered declines in sales in Mexico over nine months in 2013. September was the worst month, as they had a 4.7% decrease in turnover.

Analysts attribute this decline to the scandal that erupted in 2012 when Mexico Walmart was accused of paying bribes to officials in order to accelerate the opening of their stores.
