British drinks major Diageo has named Indian IT firm Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) as its new global IT provider, in a move to provide advanced IS services to its employees across the world.
TCS will oversee Diageo's global IT infrastructure, data centers and servers, as well as provide service desk support to employees.
This transformation will help the company in providing an improved end user experience.
Diageo chief executive officer Ivan Menezes said that the company's partnership with TCS is the latest milestone in its strategy to create a world-class IT service to support Diageo's global strategy and deliver efficient growth.
TCS CEO and managing director Natarajan Chandrasekaran said, "Globally businesses are embracing technology to enhance customer experience, drive innovation and propel their growth.
"Smarter IT - from the data center to the end user's experience - is critical in this context and we are delighted to work with Diageo to help enable this transformation using our strong industry expertise and technology capabilities."
Diageo produces, distills, brews, bottles, packages, and distributes spirits, beer, wine, and ready to drink beverages.
It offers Johnnie Walker Scotch whisky, Crown Royal Canadian whisky, J&B Scotch whisky, Buchanan's Scotch whisky, Windsor Premier Scotch whisky, Bushmills Irish whiskey, Smirnoff vodka, Ketel One vodka, Cîroc vodka, Captain Morgan rum and rum based products.
